Greetings Honey Creek Families,
As principal of Honey Creek Elementary School, it is with great pleasure to welcome everyone back for another AMAZING year of learning at the HIVE. We are eagerly anticipating the return of all our Honeybees filling our building with positive enthusiasm for learning! As we look ahead, our teachers are ready and committed to providing EXCEPTIONAL educational experiences that foster collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement.
I want to assure our families that Honey Creek Faculty and Staff will continue to honor our commitment to each other, our students, and our families through continuous improvement. We will continue to communicate to families through our weekly phone calls, monthly newsletters, REMIND messages, and agenda books. We will also use communication folders for students on Friday as well as grade level newsletters to provide insight on what students are learning each week at the HIVE. Also, please be sure to follow us and our PTO on Twitter @hce_stemacademy and @hcethehivepto. You can also follow our PTO on Facebook @honeycreekpto and Instagram @hcethehivepto. We believe in partnering with all of our learning community and we are charging our parents to join us as we support learning for our students. We will collaborate to ensure our students are showing academic gains, supporting their social-emotional needs and utilizing research-based best practices to connect with our learning community.
We hope you will find our website to be helpful and informative as we return to learning this fall. Our main page contains information related to Open House, student supply lists, and infinite campus portal updates.
This year, our students will only be allowed to carry clear bookbags to school. RCPS will provide one bookbag for each student. For more information regarding our clear bookbag policy, CLICK HERE.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Parents must complete their Annual Update for students to receive their school-issued laptop/device. Please CLICK HERE for information on setting up or accessing your Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
If you have not already done so, please complete your free/reduced lunch application soon. Additional information can be found on our RCPS website. School Meals - Rockdale County Public Schools (rockdaleschools.org)
I am honored to continue to serve as the principal for Honey Creek Elementary School for the 2022-2023 school year.
It is great to be a honeybee!
